I'm not sure I have the right mind-set this time around...

I've lost my blogging mojo. While I am, for the most part, taking a photo a day I'm not too keen on blogging them.

2-3-11

I'm really enjoying the extra color my Valentine's Day decorations are adding to the house. I adore pink and red. Each time I look around the living room I get happy.

2-4-11

The Superbowl is coming up in just a couple of days. I love all the creative soda, chip and junk-food displays all the stores are sporting. It's so fun!

2-5-11

Today the girls were humbled. They experienced their first loss. It was still a really fun game. I am so glad that Emma chose to play.

2-6-11

Superbowl! It wasn't a glamorous party but we had plenty of food and soda to keep us happy, plus the Packer's won! What more could you ask for?

2-7-11

RIP~We got this little toucan out of one of the Christmas gift sets many years ago. Whenever we would have breakfast for dinner we would fill him up with syrup for the kids. He's gotten good use over the years. His paint started chipping and then he got a big nick in his beak. It was time to retire out little Fruit-Loop friend. We didn't have the heart to tell the kids.

2-8-11

Lately we've had this trio of visitors. They are so fun to watch. It always a fun surprise to see them. I love looking out my kitchen window, I never know what I'll spot.

2-9-11

Tonight we ate delicious Granny B's cookies with thick pink frosting and Valentine sprinkles. YUM! They frosting smelled so good. It was intoxicating.

2-10-11

Tonight David and Nancy took our family to the high school for a performance of The Phantom of the Opera. It was so good and the kids loved it.

2-11-11

Tonight was a date night of sorts for Paul and I. We spent most of the evening running errands. I made this treat bag for Joey and dropped it off at his house late that night. He wasn't even home! I was disappointed I didn't get to see him but I was glad that he was out having fun on his special day. He is the first in my class to turn 12 and he's a great kid.

2-12-11

I love having fresh flowers in the house but I have a love hate relationship with this picture. I love the way the setting sun makes the roses look antique but I don't like much else. Especially the crop.

2-13-11

I can't stop looking at my flowers. They are so pretty and pink!

2-14-11

Happy Valentine's Day. It was a great evening. Thanks family for playing along with my silly traditions.

2-15-11

This is the leftover candy from the night before. Paul dug around, picked out all the good stuff and took it to work. I suppose it's better there, then I can't eat it!

2-16-11

Today Maggie and I (along with other sisters from the ward) went to see the Carl Bloch exhibit at BYU's museum of art. He had such an amazing talent and I am grateful that I was able to go see so many magnificent works of art.

2-17-11

I arrived at my job interview a little early. I sat in the parking lot playing on my phone. I decided to take a picture of myself all dressed up business like. It was either that or crap my pants from nerves. The picture was definitely the better way to go.

2-18-11

I told Paul it is almost impossible for me to not buy things when the new spring and fall lines hit stores. The colors are such a refreshing and exciting change from black, brown and gray that I go a little nuts. I have bought way too much stuff recently but it sure was fun. (I know it's hard to tell but there is turquoise in the blouse.)

2-19-11

Game time again! We really missed her playing last week. Emma is getting a little better every time. She scored again and got a foul called on her. She is certainly more aggressive than she was in the beginning of the season. We love going to her games, especially when they win.

2-20-11

Just another colorful top and sweater I picked up recently at Old Navy. I couldn't resist the bright color. I need color right now so badly, even if it's just hanging in my closet. I hope to wear this soon.

2-21-11

Look at this little guy. Isn't he amazing? I shot this through my window so the quality isn't great but you get the idea. He's fat, sassy and gorgeous. I love the color on his head and breast. Hey little friend, you are welcome in my tree anytime.

2-22-11

I was called back for a second interview. I was so worried about what to wear that I went out and got more things and had Paul take a bunch of pictures so I could choose what I liked best. After conduction an online poll I chose this. It was comfortable and worked out to be just right.

2-23-11

Tonight Paul and Andrew went to our neighbor's house to make his some cuts on his pinewood derby car. I stopped by to take pictures and ended up helping! I loved my wood-shop days in junior high. The minute I heard the saws and smelled the cut wood I was taken right back. I had to get my hand on that scroll saw. It was just as much fun as I remembered it.

This week could have been the week of Marius

But I resisted the temptation. He was on one though! I think he will get his own post on the other blog.

January 24th

I had one of the most exciting days of my life. We had a bald eagle right in our neighbor's yard. It was beautiful and amazing.

January 25th

Today we got snow. A lot more than anyone predicted. I wanted to try something by playing with my camera's shutter speed but as you can see it didn't work out too well. I will try it again but I need a lot less light for it to work.

January 26th

I don't know if it's because we are all housebound or what but the cat has been getting a lot of attention. Sometimes he appreciates it other times not so much.

January 27th

I love potty humor. Andrew asked what he should draw and I said an evil turd. He drew me an evil turd LOL!!!

January 28th

Emma got to go to her very first winter's camp. She had a great time but got very little sleep. Paul got to up with her since they needed priesthood holders to be at the camp. I think he got less sleep than Emma.

January 29th

Both Paul and Emma were toast after winter's camp. They each took naps lasting hours. She fell asleep watching TV downstairs. I don't think she has taken a nap since she was two.

January 30th

I had some M&M's that I took to my cute primary kids today. I had half a bag left so I decided to make M&M cookies. We made extras and took some to Brother Skousen as a thank you for asking us to speak in church.

January 31

I only have two more rows to sew and then I can add the sashing and be done. I can't wait!

February 1st

I have a few Bliss projects up my sleeve. These are some blocks from a pattern called Candy Bar Row. I love how fast they go together. I hope I don't fizzle out before I get this one finished.

February 2nd

Today Emma was in my room being silly. I had my camera in there so I took some shots. I happen to really like this one. With all the tween-aged angst these days I don't get to see this smile often enough.
